The Model #SS3 is able to hone chisels, plane blades and scraper-plane blades. Hone blades up to 1/4 inch thick and now up to 3 inches wide! Use the SS3 over stones up to 3/8 inches thick and up to 4 inches wide OR if using the Scary sharp technique, on a flat surface such as your table saw top, plate glass or granite surface plate with abrasive paper or pastes! Positive stop detents for setting your bevel angle from 5 to 60 degrees! 1) Loosen black handles and set your desired bevel angle using the precise, laser engraved index marks. Tighten handles.
2) Place the guide over your sharpening stone.
3) Insert blade, push alignment "slide" up against the side of the blade to ensure a square edge.
4) Tighten brass toggle foot clamp to secure blade and away you go!
