Dillon xl650. I've had a problem with powder "splash", for 8 years. I bought the bearing kit, and continued to have the problem. Fast forward 8 years, I've gotten back into shooting and reloading. After much reading, I decided to buy This kit. The reduced weight ball bearing and the reduced weight spring, did the trick. NOT 1 flake of powder in 2000 rounds of 9mm. This is the real deal. I did alter the ejection wire to ride Flat on the shellplate, rather than on the bearing.

A good buy, expensive postage
The items were easy to fit and the video clip explained the process. Bending the wire was a bit fiddly and took a few goes to get it right. Overall it has made the operation of the shell plate smoother. The postage from the US for a small parcel makes the purchase less value for money

Shellplate Bearing Kit
The bearing kit is a great addition to the Dillon 650. It does smooth the press out in terms of shell plate rotation. The kit would be perfect if the kit included a new ejector wire made to fit around the washers and the bearing. The instructions with the kit do clearly state that you may need to bend the ejector wire. But let me tell you... the black ejector wire is one tough cookie. Consider having a spare ejector wire on hand before you embark on wire bending. If the ejector wire is not just right, you'll have all sorts of fun with cases not ejecting correctly. Great addition!
The press bearing was a great addition to my 650XL press. Im not sure if the new ball and spring make a big difference but I installed them and have had no issues at all running the press. The bearing makes the operation much more smooth...

Good idea
It's quality made but just wouldn't work on my new 650 press,it threw the timing off,where my shellplate was out of time,no amount of adjusting fixed it,I put the factory stuff back and it works fine,may be when my press gets some wear and tear it'll work better,I'm definitely down to wait and see

Great product for 9mm, 45 ACP and other short cartridges.
When adjusted properly, it slows the plate at the end of travel and keeps the powder from flying out of the 9mm cases as the shellplate locks up. I used the 650 for years without it for .38 Special and .357 Magnum, but with 9mm, powder was flying everywhere.
