Sherwood Anderson SIGNED RARE 1st WINDY MCPHERSON'S SON

Inscribed and signed by Sherwood Anderson, an acclaimed and highly influential American writer!  This is a scarce first issue copy of his very first novel - a fantastic collector's item!  Signature has been certified by Global Authentication Inc., the premier authentication service! Hardcover with a short inscription ("With Regards to R. S. Church"), a signature and an authentication sticker on the free front end page (GAI # GV 485918).  No dust jacket.  "Copyright, 1916, BY JOHN LANE COMPANY" is stated on the copyright page with no mention of subsequent printings.  MCMXVI, the roman numeral for 1916, is printed on the title page.  Book is in VERY GOOD condition and is square and tightly bound with crisp pages inside.  Original orange cloth-bound boards with titles in gold and black, some light bumping and rubbing on corners, some faint dusting/toning on boards, spine is lightly sunned.  Pages are very clean aside from some dark toning/smudges on the end pages and page edges.  No stray marks or inscriptions from previous owners.

This book is in great shape for its age and it would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
