Shimmering MOHAIR "Pearl" Roving spinning fiber Buffy

You are bidding on 4 oz of carded roving from our Angora Goat wether, Buffy.   This fiber is clean with very little vegetative matter, though there seems to be occassional little clumps of spinning oil used by the mill to control flyaway during carding.   This fiber has been scoured and carded at the Yolo Wool Mill.  This fleece  is a medium length ( 3 - 5 inches), is a lovely color I can only describe as "Ocean pearls".   

Buffy is a faded red, but the roving came out the softest silvery blue that absolutely shimmers with light!  Mohair takes acid dyes better than any other protein fiber, in my humble opinion, creating bright, vibrant jewel tones.  Buffy is still young, and produce this lovely soft mohair for your enjoyment (and mine!)  This is his yearling fleece.  If you look at the roving, it looks like very pale champagne, but in the picture you can see the softest, lusterous light grey along the top edge of the crocheted piece that is his fiber.

This  roving is good for spinning, blending or felting.   This roving would blend in such a lovely way with a some of the alpaca or wool rovings I have for sale in my other auctions.    Shipped in a plastic bag then boxed, from a non-smoking home.
