Ship's Navigation Mast Lights
Solid Brass with Red and Blue Fresnel style Glass
These were turned into lamps, mounted on wood platforms and I bought them this way. The red glass is broken (see photo) and the blue glass has one small chip at the bottom. The blue lamp actually works, the red does not but should be easy to fix since it is just a light bulb inserted into the old lamp. Both lamps have markings on the top:
RED: 9-8-4582-L
BLUE: 9-8-4532-L
"P N S"
I don't know what the "PNS" stands for and I am not sure of the age of these. They are very heavy, each weighing about 6 lbs. Some research shows these to probably be old mast lights. We used these in a nautical themed room in our Bed & Breakfast on either side of the bed - very unique!
They each measure 5" tall x 4" diameter (not including the wood base).
