Stainless Steel Shrinking Disc!
NEW & Improved (New method of manufacturing provides cleaner and smoother running disc!) !Stronger than others, Guaranteed! You are bidding on one 9" shrinking disc. Yet another
great autobody metalworking tool that I am now offering. They are made
of high grade NON-magnetic 304
.060 stainless steel. They have been made safer with a 90 degree edge
which is stronger than others that are available. The disc is best
used with a 7" or 9" grinder (or sander, polisher). These discs work
on steel or aluminum, and the secret to them is they create friction
and heat while touching the metal, and when cooled with either soapy
water or a blower nozzle the heated area shrinks! It is the same
concept as using a torch or stud gun with a solid tip and a wet rag,
but the heat is much more controlled and only touches the high
stretched spots that need to be shrunk. So you are able to shrink an
area on a panel without worrying about making the problem even worse
like you can with a torch. It also works excellent on removing those
"oil can" dents that you have overworked and stretched the metal too
much! Since the discs are made out of thick high grade stainless
steel, they will last a lifetime, so you only have to buy one. Once
you have started using the disc and get a little practice under your
belt, it will make you feel more confident in your metalworking skills
when you can finish a panel with no body filler at all! The more you
use it, and the better you get, the less filler you have to spread and
sand! It saves lots of time on sanding, keeps the shop cleaner from
having less putty dust, and makes for a better quality, longer
lasting finish with little or no body filler at all! Works just like the wavy disc, but alot cheaper! Their kit price is about 10 times our price!!!
In the pictures I demonstrate removing two high spots in a domed panel. Once I got them shrunk back down (I did NOT use a hammer and dolly, only the shrinking disc for demonstration purposes), I ran an DA air sander over the panel to show exactly how smooth of a finish can be achieved. You could never tell there used to be dents or high spots there. In normal conditions, you would straighten out the metal and pop out the dents like usual with a hammer and dolly first to speed up the process and then use the shrinking disc to lower the overstretched areas, and achieve smooth final finish.
The disc comes with detailed instructions on how to use it.
Shipping will be $8 in the US. Thanks for looking =) Check feedback before purchasing a disc from another source. See how many pleased customers we have compared to others! Watch our free video and surf the web for additional instructions on how to use the disc, No DVD needed!

If you buy one, and you receive it and it does not work how you expected, send it back to me within a week and i will give you a refund. No one else offers this! I work on restorations, building street rods, and motorcycles, and use one of these shrinking disc myself. It is amazing how smooth you can make a panel with a little bit of practice! If you need some pointers on using the disc, and general metalworking, i can point you to an online community of metalworkers that i am a member of, that love helping people learn the art of metalworking. Thanks Brian =) Wolfes Metal Fabrication We are looking for individuals who are willing to share their experience that they have had with our discs in the form of a testimonial or short story, to help others to decide to give the disc a try to see for themselves that it is the real deal. Also Available in bulk lots for dealers or large shops. FAQ
Please Read before emailing with a question.
Q: Can you please leave feedback for me? A: Yes
of course, but I am very busy, so I leave feedback in bulk for everyone
who has left positive feedback for me a couple of times a month. Q: When will I get my item? A: Orders are shipped same or next day Monday through Friday. US orders usually take 2-3 days but allow 6 for delays. International orders normally take 6-10 days, but can take a little longer due to customs delays. If shipping time is going to be longer, I will notify you. Q: How much is shipping? A: Click on the shipping tab and select your country from the drop down list and click the get rates button. It will show you the proper shipping price. Q: Will you combine shipping if I buy more than one item? A: Yes, usually the listing or the shipping info at the bottom will explain the discount. For example, shipping in the Q: Do your shrinking discs come with a backing pad? A: If you are buying a 4 1/2" KIT , yes it does. Currently I do not have any 7/9" backing pads to offer. If it does not state in the listing that it comes with a backing pad, then it is not included. Q: What type of backing pad can I use for your shrinking discs? A: Most
large grinders come with a rubber or plastic pad that is intended for
flexible sanding discs, and have a nut that is tapered so it will sit
flush with the surface when tightened. These work great, and can also
be purchased from most autoparts, farm, tool and home improvement
stores. It does not have to be the full size of the disc;
it is mainly needed for mounting, as the discs have plenty of strength
by themselves. Q: I love your tool, and would like to tell you about it. A: Great! Feel free to write a response about our tools and include pictures and/or your business/website information if you would like. If you allow permission, I will gladly post your story and link on our website for others to see how well it worked for you. Q: What speed of grinder do I need for your shrinking discs? A: For the 9" discs 3000-6000 rpm work great. I personally use an old heavy 6000 rpm grinder. For the 4 1/2" discs, most small grinders run at 10,000-12,000 rpm. They will work great. Q: I paid and have not received my item, or I am unhappy because..... A: Please contact us about any problems or questions you have, before leaving Negative feedback. We strive to keep our customers happy and our feedback at the top! Q: Can I bid on an item and then change my mind and not purchase it if I win? A: Your bid is a contract, if you win; you need to pay for your purchase. Be sure you want the item before bidding. If you are unsure, do not bid. EBay is very strict on this, and you will be reported to them if this happens. It is very inconvenient for us and we still get charged for the sale. Q: I want to buy an item, but I might not be able to make the payment within 48 hours. Is this ok? A: We
like to get items out right away after the sale, but we will understand
if you need a little more time to complete the payment. All we ask in either scenario is to send an email saying when you will make the payment, or that payment is on its way. Q: How do your shrinking discs compare to others on the market? A: Many
people prefer the smooth disc over the wavy disc for several reasons,
it is safer with the flanged edge than the "saw blade" like edge the
wavy disc has. The ridges are not necessary; they create unneeded
vibration and noise. The shrinking happens because of the heat. The
ridges can actually lead to premature failure and cracking due to
wearing thin only on the higher area of the disc. And also is price
difference. The other disc has some various sanding materials and discs
included (which most shops already have) and they throw in an
instructional video and they call it a kit, and charge about 10 times
what we do!! My demo video is free to watch and it is
so easy to learn to use, the included directions should be enough, if
not, email me for further assistance. Q: How can I learn more about metalworking and using these tools? A: A great place to learn is the metalmeet website. Search the forums and ask questions, there are many nice people there sharing about the art of metalworking.
If your question was not answered, please feel free to send an email.
