Good Replacement for Telefunken M811 Mic
I bought this Inner Foam replacement for a vintage Telefunken M811 German "Grenade" microphone that I recently purchased. I don't have the Shure mics listed for replacement but they are similar size and shape to my Telefunken so I decided to take a chance. It turned out the replacement fit the Telefunken well with just a little space around the capsule and needed no trimming. The foam feels thicker at the diaphragm end and It did darken the tone of the mic just a tad which I easily compensated for with a little high EQ. I don't know if the original foam darkened the tone any because it was completely disintegrated when I received the mic but it may do the same with the Shure mics. Considering it is probably impossible to find an exact replacement for the Telefunken, this foam ... Inner Foam Windscreen for Conical Mics
Designed for Shure 87 but fit my Senn MD512 with similar conical shape. Inner foam in most mics crumbles after a few years and the mic element can wobble in addition to being wide open for dust etc. It seemed to fit, and no compromise on sound, but would be 5 stars if more sized to specific heights of conical mics windscreens like, s,m and l.

Absolutely NOT a fit for an SM87. Was not nearly as big as the insides of my mic screen, and had an extra layer of foam over the business end of the mic, which was not there on the original. I was able to peel off the extra foam and stretch the foam outward until it would at least go over the capsule, even though it would not expand enough to fit against the insides of the screen. I think it will work ok but it is certainly not a proper fit, even after my modifying it. Absolutely NOT a fit for an SM87.
