Solid Brass

 

We think this is a pocket watch or compass fob which was worn on a leather strap which would have connected to the pocket watch to aid in pulling watch from tiny pocket on pants or vest.  Back side says "Silberman & Sons, Chicago and more, rough, hard to read.  -  This fob measures about 1  1/2" wide by 1  1/2" tall.  Has been cleaned some it looks like, has some discoloration or tarnish on it. 

Ebay tells us to list this as a reproduction as we can not prove it is authentic, so this is a reproduction.  Satisfaction guaranteed upon delivery, if not happy return for refund... Look at the scan!!
