HOW MUCH DESICCANT DO YOU NEED?
One of these packets of Silic Gel will remove the moisture from a container of about 50 cu. in. or less.  This is the size of a small box or jar, for example a box that measures 5" x 5" x 2". Use this small bag of desiccant in the container that holds your precious collectible, be it stamps, coins, trading cards, antique jewelry, silver, or anything else that you want to keep safe from moisture damage.

HOW LONG WILL IT WORK?
If you use the proper amount of desiccant, enough to accomodate the container size and the materials inside (I'll include a Requirement Chart to help you with that) and the container is sealed from fresh air seeping in, virtually forever.  For example, a desiccant might be used in a time capsule to maintain a safe, dry environment when it's opened 100 years later. However, when the container is opened and exposed to fresh, humid air, you may need to replace your desiccant.

This 1 gram packet is excellent for small storage spaces.  You may use several packets in your container in order to get the proper amount of desiccant for the space (Requirement Chart will be enclosed with your purchase).
