Silver Lion Salt, Pepper Shakers, and Tray Set Velvet Box

Description
Gorgeous Heavy Vintage English International Silver hollowware salt and pepper castor pots with matching tray; Original royal purple velvet covered latching butler box with matching royal purple silk or satin lining. Excellent heirloom condition with perfect plastic liners - appear to have been used only gently. Feature Paw footed with lion mask legs or lions heads and an engraved wriggle work type pattern around the bodies reminiscent of a Persian rug design; Very heavy and gorgeous similar to hotel, ship, or train service pieces. Each piece is in wonderful heirloom condition and is not missing any silver-plate anywhere. Superior condition; Never been cleaned other than with a soft cloth, no scratches, not worn out or cloudy from cleaning, polish to a brilliant high shine, never have been exposed to moisture, no corrosion, no salt stains or dark spots ever, no damages whatsoever. You will find ever so slight signs of ware as these are vintage and not new pieces. Silver plating is 100% intact. Bidding begins low for fairness (see highly detailed photographs below). Just gorgeous; Not Marked as these would have once had the “International Silver Co Handmade“ stickers on the bottom; marked with an impressed stamp “EP BRASS“ as these are finely hand made and hand plated over fine solid white brass. Truly a one of a kind heirloom collection. Wonderful to display your brides, cake, or fruit baskets, serving dish, bowls, or on the sideboard or Thanksgiving Holiday dinner table. A perfect match to your Victorian jewelry casket, sterling mirror and brush, English sterling, or objects de virtue. This gorgeous set does not have any noticeable usage marks, no dents, no dings, never been bent - too heavy to ever bend, no utensil marks, and no scrapes or scratches. This was purchased from an estate in the historic town of Sedalia, home of the 19th century Bothwell Hotel and the Missouri State Fair. The streets are lined with antebellum mansions and manor houses. See highly detailed pictures below. Box Measures 7 5/8 inches in length, by 6 inches front to back, and stands 3 inches high. Shakers measure 4 inches in height by 2 1/8 inches at the widest. Then, the tray measures 6 5/8 inches long by 4 ¾ inches wide. Would make a lovely addition to your early Italian, French ormolu girandoles or pomponne clock and candlesticks set, candelabras, or ormolu chairs and furniture. If you collect only the best like I do you will not want to miss out on these! I have never found a boxed set like this; would make a great holiday or Christmas gift.(see pictures; very nice!). Just a lovely unique set! Would make a lovely addition to any Early American Colonial home, Victorian, William and Mary, or Rococo
decor. Please ask any questions before bidding as item is not returnable. Pieces will be packaged with great care and will not arrive broken. Thanks!
