Silver rose victorian tussie mussie bouquet & boutineer

This auction is for TWO items;

1 - Silver tussie mussie, 6 3/4" long and 2" in diameter with beautiful roses and an antique finish.  Recently polished.

1 - Silver boutineer holder with pin attachment, 2 1/2" long with a tiny cross hanging in the front.  Recently polished.

I purchased both of these items with the intention of using them for my wedding.  I made a lovely boutineer for my husband, and a pretty arrangement of purple and peach tea roses to carry.  Then I misplaced them about a week before the wedding and never got to use them.  (I put them in a "safe" place so they would be ready for the wedding & promptly forgot where).  The boutineer pin has a little bit of hot glue residue and green floral tape inside, should be able to remove it or work around it with no problem. 

This antique vintage reproduction slivertone Tussie Mussie is a wonderful Victorian tradition and a great way to carry your wedding bouquet. These tussie mussies have an incised rose and leaf pattern with cut outs designs. A black wash was rubbed in and wiped off so that petals and leaf veins are highlighted, giving the tussie mussie an antique look. Tussie mussies not only make wonderful bouquet holders, but they are also a nice remembrance of your wedding - and a nice gift for your Maid-of-Honor and Bridesmaids.
