Silvertone tube "farm radio" battery operated VGC works

For Sale; A Silvertone Model 6220  battery operated tube type “farm radio” . This is from my collection, but I have to make room for other goodies, so I am selling a few things. This particular radio is in very good condition with the exception of a few minor chips on the cabinet and some scruffs on the knobs as shown in the pictures, It displays well. I have been using it to listen to distant stations at night, because it has a tuned RF amplifier stage in the “front end” of the radio. This boosts the weak signals considerably and improves the reception. From my location near Toledo, Ohio I have listened to stations such as WSM Nashville, Tennessee, WHO Des Moines, Iowa and many stations on the East coast. This is a very good working radio, and comes with a roll of wire for an antenna, which is required for reception. The radio comes as shown, and needs batteries or a battery eliminator which I build for this type of radio, and sell for $59.95, and can be installed in the radio, and tested before shipping. It measures 6” X 3” X 2” and is shown in a separate picture. THE BATTERY ELIMINATOR IS EXTRA IF YOU WANT IT, BUT NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE RADIO. You can save shipping charges if they are combined. I have built and sold these eliminators all over the world, and had happy customers. The radio measures 15”w X 12” h X12” d.
