*DESCRIPTION….

Up for your consideration is a black & white print of Sir Walter Scott. His surname is in script just below the image. It appear that the original was signed by the artist “P. Kramer” just above Scotts left shoulder.

I will be listing quite a few prints this month. I do not know the weight of the paper, nor if it is bonded or acid-free – I can say that the paper is quite thick/heavy and seems to be of good quality. I do not know the exact age of any of them – but the amount of dust that came with them indicates to me that they were in the warehouse for quite some time. All of them were purchased as a lot at an auction where the auctioneer claimed they were “rescued” from a decaying warehouse on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

*DIMENSIONS…

This print is 22” x 28”

*CONDITION…

Overall, this print is in good condition. All of these prints were stored in a warehouse for many years. There may be some slight discoloration or spotting along the edges – nothing that would show if it was properly matted and framed. There may be some small “waves” in the paper – but no creases or tears. Some may have a faint odor – a great many were discarded due to water-staining and mildew. THESE ARE OLD PRINTS – while in good shape, they ARE NOT PRISTINE OR NEW.
