Small Copper Powder Flask With Adjustable Spout, 1840's
Nice small powder flask dating to the 1840's period. This flask measures 7 inches overall which includes a 1-1/4 inch adjustable spout and is 2-1/2 inches wide at the base. Sides are flat. In good condition with some dents and some period solder repairs at the cap end. The spout is solid brass and has four adjustments. The lever operates freely, the spring is strong and is obviously original to the flask. The only markings I find are on the lever near the pivot point. It appears to be either an X or a Y but is worn and hard to read. Guaranteed old and original.
