Overview

The SmartLCD is a standalone processor board with a 4x12 LCD display, ATmega168 RISC processor, connectors for I2C communication, a 3-Axis 1.5,2,4,6 G Accelerometer (MMA7260) and and optional 3V battery holder (these option can be purchased seperately in our eBay store).  The SmartLCD, having its own processor, can be custom programmed to operate as a standard display device, data acquistion device or 3-Axis inertial sensor.   The inertial sensor allows the SmartLCD to measure acceleration on all 3 axis - this is the same sensor used in a popular game console.  

 

The SmartLCD is a general purpose 8 bit RISC processing board with a 4x12 LCD display that can be used as a display device for other processors or custom programmed for standalone mobile applications.

 

The optional 3V battery module allows the SmartLCD to operate in a completely mobile setting.

 

 

Included Software/Hardware

Included with the auction is a CD with sample code that converts the SmartLCD into a serial display device via the I2C communications port or serial port, a programming adapter (CISP) that converts the ISP programming port into a 14 pin Atmel compatible ISP programming connector (see ISP10 programming adpater).  A 10 inch I2C connection cable for connecting the SmartLCD to the Amber Web Server, Wasp, P1 or MC433 is also available for purchase, (Note - the SmartLCD requires 2.8 to 5V DC to operate - this is supplied to the SmartLCD via the I2C cable).

 

 

Warranty

The SmartLCD comes with a 90 day warranty and a 7 day return policy.  If not completely satisfied simply return the unit in the original packaging for a full reufnd (less shipping charges).  Canadian customers are charged 5% GST and BC customers an additional 7% PST.

 

This is a new unit direct from the manufacturer and includes manufacturer warranty and support.   The P0 and USB JTAG/I2C adapters shown in the photo are not included in this auction.

Items received without an RMA number, will be refused and returned to the sender.  Returned items must be marked RETURNED ITEM on the outside and have the RMA number clearly visible.
