The INSTEON Keypad Dimmer Scene Lighting Starter Kit includes one INSTEON KeypadLinc Dimmer, two INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmers, and two INSTEON Access Points. This starter kit will allow you to control lights individually or multiple lights together as "scenes." Each SwitchLinc and the KeypadLinc can control an individual light, but you can also link the SwitchLincs to the KeypadLinc to control lights remotely, even from another area of your home. Thanks to the KeypadLinc's status LEDs, you'll be able to see at a glance if connected lights are on or off. You can even link the two SwitchLincs together to control a single light from two different locations.

The INSTEON Keypad Dimmer Scene Lighting Starter Kit's switches can control incandescent bulbs, low-voltage halogen (e.g. track), and other low-voltage lights with magnetic or dimmable electronic transformers. If you need to control a fluorescent light fixture or a non-dimmable appliance, use an INSTEON SwitchLinc Relay (Non-Dimming), the perfect addition to your starter kit. A LampLinc plug-in dimmer or ApplianceLinc plug-in on/off switch can be added to control any plug-in lamps or appliances that you want to use in your INSTEON lighting control system. You can add the convenience of a tabletop controller to your nightstand to turn lights on and off from your bedside.

Easy To Install
The INSTEON Keypad Dimmer Scene Lighting Starter Kit is so easy to install and set up and yet so affordable, you'll want to change all of your switches to new INSTEON-compatible switches, allowing all of your lights and appliances to benefit from your new INSTEON automated lighting system. Just remove the old switches and reattach the new switch's line, load, ground, and neutral wires using the included wire nuts, and you're almost done. Plug in the Access Points to join the phases of your existing electrical wiring to ensure INSTEON network reliability. Now you can start linking devices and setting brightness levels and ramp rates that create awesome lighting scenes like "Movie Time," "Party," "Romance," etc., that help you to enjoy the overall desired experience.

The INSTEON KeypadLinc dimmer is more than an in-wall controller and a 600-watt dimmer. You have your choice of using the installed 6-button keypad or changing it to the included 8-button version for a wealth of control options. One of more common uses for the KeypadLinc is as a central monitoring and controlling device. Say you install one by your front door, then you can link up to eight individual lights, or eight groups of lights and see the on/off status displayed right on the keypad. If you forgot to turn off your bedroom light, you could press the corresponding button and turn it off without having to run all the way back to the bedroom. Each KeypadLinc button can perform up to four different functions, such as on, off, brighten, and dim. Flexible Setup
KeypadLincs give you tremendous flexibility with controlling your lighting system. Other wall-mounted keypads only provide an ON/OFF function, but each KeypadLinc button can perform up to four different functions: press a button once for ON; press again for OFF. Press and hold ON to brighten; press and hold OFF to dim.

INSTEON SwitchLinc Dimmer
The SwitchLinc dimmer has 32 brightness levels and a ramp rate that can be set from .01 to 9 seconds, which helps with getting your lights to the perfect intensity at the perfect speed. The dimmer can be a member of more than 400 scenes, which you'll be able to activate with a single button press. An elegant brightness bar of 8 white LEDs indicates the current brightness of the controlled lights. The dimmer supports 3-, 4-, all the way up to 418-way circuits for maximum flexibility. It can match your room's décor with the available color change kits. To help identify which lights your dimmer controls, especially in multi-gang arrangements,custom-etched paddles are available. The SwitchLinc and KeypadLinc Dimmers are designed and manufactured to high-end specifications and go through over 10 quality control tests before arriving at your doorstep. White paddles or frames are included with each SwitchLinc or KeypadLinc, but additional paddle and trim frame colors are available and sold separately. INSTEON Access Points
The Access Point is the most important part of the INSTEON network. Access Points create your dual-mesh INSTEON network by simultaneously transmitting and receiving INSTEON messages across both radio frequency and your home's existing electrical wiring. When used as a pair, the Access Points couple the two different electrical phases of your home's AC lines. This provides maximum reliability to ensure your message will reach its intended INSTEON device.
