Smarthome's SwitchLinc V2 replaces your existing wall switch and provides deluxe local dimming features, as well as Insteon and X10 remote control ability. 

True rocker action - tap the top to turn on, tap the bottom to turn off, hold the top to brighten, hold the bottom to dim. It's very intuitive for anyone in the house to use.

Soft Start - Lights will fade on, fade off gradually for an elegant effect which can also increase bulb life. The fade on/off rate and the initial brightness level when turned on, can both be set by the user.

Selectable On Level - Initial brightness level can be set so the light will always go to, for example, 75% brightness when turned on, rather than always going to full-bright first. 

Lighting Scenes - This switch can be a member of multiple lighting scenes, allowing a single keypad press or signal to command multiple switches and dimmers to go to a pre-determined user selectable brightness level!  Now you can create elegant lighting scenes like "party mode", "movie time", "dinner", etc.

2 Way Support means that it will respond to X10 / Insteon status requests as well as transmitting it's X10 status when it's used locally at the switch.

Insteon Benefits - Insteon transmits its signal faster than X10 and is a redundant protocol, in that every receiver confirms when it receives and processes a command from the transmitter. And since each receiver is also a repeater, the more switches you have in the house, the more reliable the system becomes.

In X-10 mode, SignaLincs are NOT required.

The SwitchLinc V2 is ETL and CSA listed for safety, and comes with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty.

Installation Note:  Neutral wires are required at the SwitchLinc locations.  Insteon networks require a SignaLinc coupler to create reliable communications.
