Sodium nitrate is a white, odorless solid with a saline/bitter taste.Density is 2.2, with a melting point of 308 degrees Celsius. Soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohols. Uses include - fertilizer, glass manufacture, laboratory reagent, refrigerant, dyes, pharmaceuticals, color fixative, preservative in cured meats, and enameling in pottery. Packaged in a wide mouth polyethylene jar with screw cap. This material is shipped in compliance with USPS Publication 52 as an ORM-D.  Shipping $7.50. Paypal payment only. Multiple winning auctions will combined to lessen shipping costs (2 lbs. - $9.50, 3-6 lbs. - $12.50).
