Sodium nitrite is a slightly yellowish to white solid. Soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohols. Density is 2.1, with a melting point of 271 degrees Celsius.It's uses include-preservative in meat products (prevents botulism), diazotization reactions, rubber accelerators, color fixative, pharmaceuticals, photography, and dye manufacture. This material is shipped in compliance with USPS Publication 52 as an ORM-D.  Packaged in a wide mouth polyethylene jar with screw cap. Shipping $7.50. Paypal payment only.
