Description: Sony UVW-1800, Betacam SP Editing Recorder/Player

This unit has built-in time code generator/reader, time base corrector and high-speed picture search, and provides frame accurate editing and consistent picture quality. The UVW-1800 also features 90 minute playback/record, composite input/output, Y/C composite input/output and component (Y, R-Y, B-Y) input/output. It is an ideal deck for creating Betacam SP dub from DVCAM VTRs equipped with component video output, and is an economical way to build a superior editing system.

This unit tested well aside from few very sparse horizontal lines in the playback image. The eject servo is a little noisy too. The exterior looks good aside from scratches and marks.- Dan
