This is a book for the Sotheby's Billingshurst UK catalog for December 1, 2, 8, 9, & 15, 1998 for Toys, Silver, Vertu, Furniture, Oriental and European Ceramics and Pictures, plus sighouettes, portrait miniatures, victorian antique fans, walking stick canes,bijouterie, buttons, oriental ceramics. glass and ceramics, staffordshire, royal doulton character toby mugs. PRICES REALIZED is included. There are 2733 lots but most are not illustrated. It is about a 1/4 inch thick catalog. There is a section on tinplate and die-cast toys, trains and soldiers, teddy bears, dolls and rocking horses for 470 lots; a section on silver and allied wares, silhouettes, portrait miniatures, fans, walking canes, silver smallwork, fans, pipes, vertu and bijouterie for 555 lots; antique and decorative furniture for 412 lots; oriental ceramics, eastern works of art, British and continental glass and ceramics for 590 lots; and watercolours, oil paintings and prints for 532 lots. Included in the second section is a collection of buttons spanning 24 lots; and scattered throughout the glass section are about 20 lots of paperweights.
