About The Tri-Mod Wah: Based on the Hot Hand™ Wah Filter and Hot Hand™ Phaser/Flanger effects systems, the new Soundblox Tri-Mod Wah pedal offers 11 different effects that redefine how guitarists, keyboard players, and others, think about Wah.
Building on the same high quality sounds as their more expensive predecessors, the Soundblox Tri-Mod Wah pedal can be modulated by either a Hot Hand™ motion sensor, an LFO(1) or an Envelope Follower(2).
All Soundblox effects feature state-of-the-art 56-bit DSP co-developed with Analog Devices, Inc. and crystal clear 24-bit A/D D/A converters for exceptional sound quality.
Get a Soundblox pedal and find out why Premium Guitar says that Source Audio is "redefining the world of guitar effects with the introduction of its new Soundblox pedals..."
Controls:
EFFECT: The heart of the Tri-Mod Wah pedal is the Effect control. A simple turn of this knob selects between: Classic-Wah, Low-Pass Filter (Lo or Hi), Single-Peak Band Pass (Lo or Hi), Multi-Peak (Six Selections or peaks and dips moving in independent directions, responding to the Hot Hand™ controller), or Calibrate (set the midpoint of the filter sweep for any position of your hand).
FREQUENCY: Turn counter-clockwise to emphasize lower frequencies for dark sounds. Turn clockwise for brighter sounds using higher frequencies. This is also helpful for adjusting the frequency to match another instrument such as bass guitar or keyboard.
DEPTH: This multi-purpose knob controls the drive of the effect and the type of modulation being used. When turned to the left of '0' the effect is driven using an envelope follower. The further the knob is turned counter-clockwise, the more depth. When turned to the right of '0' the effect is driven by LFO. The further to the right, the more LFO depth. If you use the Hot Hand™ controller, this knob is controls how much the filter moves in relation to the motion of the Hot Hand™.
SPEED: Is used to smooth out the input from the Hot Hand™ (or other) sensor, giving you control over the rate of change in signal (attack and decay time). If you prefer smooth wah, turn the knob toward FLAIL. When you prefer the controller to respond to small movements, such as when picking while wearing a Hot Hand™, turn it toward PICK.
You get innovation with a ton of features:

(1) An LFO is a Low Frequency Oscillator (built in to the Soundblox). The LFO are commonly used in effects like phasers, flangers, and choruses. The Tri-Mod Wah allows you to use a variable LFO to drive the effect to create unique sounds.
(2) An Envelope Follower is a built-in mathematical formula that responds to the amplitude (or volume) of the incoming signal to create the wah control.
