Our latest reproduction for the 13, 14 1/2 OR 16 inch South Bend lathe! South Bend used the same "oiler" part number for the 3 lathes.

 This is that little dauber or quill oiler that almost every lathe is missing, (or lost if like me when I sucked it up in the vacuum and out in the trash it went!). You can wait and try to find an original on Ebay, (selling upwards of $75 at times!), or just go ahead and get it right here to finish off your restoration or just because you can't stand that little hole on the tailstock being empty. This will fit a tailstock capable of accepting the .402" dimension of the quill oiler, as was the original size.  These are used to place a drop of lubricant onto the tip of a dead center to provide the neccessary lubrication. The old timers used white lead, (not advisable for health reasons nowadays), which a small amount was kept right there in the dauber's hole on the tailstock.
