SPACE ORKS Vintage 2000: Grotsnik’s FreeBootaz
'ERE WE GO!

The Orks plague the galaxy from end to end with their ceaseless warring and strife. They are a race rooted so deeply in war that peace is utterly incomprehensible to them. They cannot be bargained with or bought save with weapons which they will inevitably turn against those who tried to bribe them.
Ork Warbosses have long been accused of using unsubtle, sledgehammer tactics. These charges are undeniably true, but then again, so is the bloody evidence of their success.
When building a Warhammer 40,000 army, the best place to begin is its respective Codex. These books are indispensable guides to painting, force selection and background material that you can find no where else.
Warhammer 40,000 Codex: Orks is one in a series of Warhammer 40,000 Codex supplements. Each book in the series describes in detail an army, its history and its heroes. Inside you will find:
Army List: The complete Ork army list which allows you to select an Ork warband for battle. Also included are Ork vehicles, weapons and troops along with the wealth of wargear available to the Orks
Hobby Section: Sixteen full color pages packed with tips and advice on collecting, painting and playing with an Ork warband.
The Power of the Waaagh! A complete description of all the troops that form the unruly mobz of a Space Ork horde.
Special Characters: Rules and background information for some of the most notorious Ork leaders and warriors such as Warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, Boss Zagstruk and his Vulcha skwad and mad Mek Wazzdakka Gutzmek.
Occasionally, a Mekboy will exhibit the kind of ambition usually only seen among Nobz. Although he can never aspire to lead a whole warband, the Mekboy will gather other Mekboyz as followers and gain in power and stature. It is common for a Big Mek to leave his warband or be outlawed by its Warboss for getting too big for his boots. Outlaw Big Meks and their followers will hire out their services to warbands, searching for a war big enough to satisfy their obsession for building the biggest, shootiest war machines around.
This miniature can be used as an HQ choice in your Ork army.
Mad Doks are obsessed with perfecting their own methods of "serjery". Left to their own devices, they will indulge in ever more extreme experiments. Mad Dok Grotsnik is no exception. He has experimented on himself extensively, the results of which are threefold - he is more resilient than your average ork (which is pretty tough to begin with), he has an impressive array of weaponry built right into his body, and he is completely insane.
Mad Dok Grotsnik is an HQ unit choice in a Space Orks Army.
Stormboyz are fierce Ork warriors who are willing to gamble with their lives (and their sanity) by strapping on crude Ork rokkit packs to blast them towards the enemy.
Stormboyz may be included in your Ork army as an Elite choice.
Ork Boyz are the heart and soul of an Ork warband, and are normally formed in huge mobs. They are most often equipped in one of two ways. As Slugga Boyz they are armed for close combat with hefty, razor-edged choppas and the big-bore Ork pistols known as sluggas. As Shoota Boyz they are equipped to destroy the enemy at range, armed with big and noisy Shootas
Stikk Bommas are special among Ork society for one reason - they know that when you pull the pin out of a stikkbomb, you throw the bomb and not the pin!
Boyz may be included in your Ork army as a Troops choice.
Warbuggies are two-man attack vehicles that combine the raw speed of a Warbike with a formidable weapon payload. Those Speed Freeks who own Warbuggies will group together in ramshackle bands that hurtle around the battlefield, blasting away at anything they can.
You may include an Ork Warbuggy in your Ork army as a Fast Attack choice.
A common modification to the warbuggy is to mount its rear quarters upon a sturdy track unit. The driver sacrifices a modicum of speed for the ability to traverse far rougher terrain, allowing his gunner to engage enemy units hidden in the rubble of a ruined city, or hunt down boyz from a rival clan through the smouldering wreckage of an Ork settlement.
An Ork Wartrakk may be included in your Ork army as a Fast Attack choice.
Most warbands are accompanied by a ramshackle band of vehicles that hurtle around the battlefield blasting at anything that they can. The most crazed krews are known as Speed Freeks as they have completely succumbed to the Ork predilection for going far too fast.
A Wartrakk Scorcha may be included in your Ork army as an upgrade to an Ork Wartrakk as a Fast Attack choice.
