Here is the T20 power supply. It runs on 110V or 220V AC and contains all the control electronics, Q-switch driver and the 808nm pump diode. It is controlled by software running on a PC connected to the laser using a serial port.

Here is the V80 laser head. It connects to the 808nm pump diode, the Q-switch driver and umbilical cable from the T20 power supply. As you can see, it is producing it's rated 2W average power. These are capable of producing higher power with increased pump diode current, but for long life they should be run at around 2W.

Since this is a Q-switched laser, the peak power is quite high (over 200W). This makes the laser suitable for micromachining and etching. These systems were removed from machines which created a texture on hard disk platters.

Q-switched YAG lasers can be extra-cavity doubled to 532nm green using LBO, KTP or KDP crystals. Here I've got a piece of KDP in the infrared beam which produced lots of green even without careful alignment!

Just for fun, I opened one of the heads to see how it works. Of course the head offered in this auction has never been opened. You can see the V shaped beam path that gives the V series heads their name.

Note that I have several of these systems so the serial numbers you see here may not match the system shipped to you. All systems are tested and work equally well.

These 3 screen shots show the included DOS software which runs on a PC and controls the laser system using an RS-232 serial port. Note that I have several of these systems so the serial numbers and setpoints you see here may not match the system shipped to you. All systems produce 2W with 16-18A of diode current which is well under the maximum so these should have lots of life left in them.
This system is tested and guaranteed to arrive in good working condition.
This system will be shipped by motor freight in a small crate. Shipping will be the exact amount charged by Freightquote.com with no packing or handling charges added.
