This limited edition Giclée Print on canvas reproduces artists Douglass Truth's imaginative painting of everyone's favorite sea sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants along with his adorable best pal, Patrick Star. Both characters wave to us from SpongeBob's Pineapple house in Bikini Bottom.

"The Animated Animations Company, under license from Nickelodeon has created these images using the fine art printing process of color reproduction known as giclée. Using a digital scan of the original acrylic painting by artist Douglass Truth, this process creates a first-generation "print" from the digital source. In this process Harvest Productions of Anaheim Hills, California takes a computer-based digital file and prints it by spraying million of pixel-sized drops of ink per second onto premium-quality, acid free canvas with an enhanced printer, specially modified for fine art reproduction.
The Animated Animations Company, under license from Nickelodeon, published this limited edition in the year 2005. It is comprised of a general edition of no more than 100 pieces, numbered 1/100 to 100/100, 10 publisher's proofs, numbered PP 1/10 to 10/10, and 6 hors de commerce, numbered HC 1/6 to HC 6/6 for a total maximum of 116 pieces.
Douglas Truth, born in 1953 in Indianapolis, is well known for his funny and brightly composed art. For the first part of his life, Truth worked in a variety of professions, including civil engineer, chef, truck driver, salesman, advertising director and English teacher. Dissatisfied with those career choices, Truth founded Flying Turtle Graphics, a graphic design and silk-screen company, in the 1990s. Truth's art is characterized by a bold palette and daring compositions.
In Waterlogged Cabin, Truth's use of skewed perspective combined with a bright colors captures the fantastical wonderworld of Bikini Bottom. This charming print captures the joy and exuberant personalities of SpongeBob and Patrick Star.
