GRADING GUIDE FOR MAGAZINES: PLEASE READ! *The very important small print! FAIR--As in very good, but missing pages and heavier damage. VERY GOOD--As in excellent, but with some major imperfections, may have writing on cover, tears, creases, scratches, some type of stain, loose bindings (from detached cover to significant spine split: issue that would rate higher except for one of these imperfections or a heavily used copy. MAY BE SUITABLE FOR FRAMING. THE GLASS IN THE FRAME HIDES MANY IMPERFECTIONS AND YOU AREN’T LOOKING AT THE ISSUE AS CLOSE AS YOU WOULD IF YOU WERE READING IT. EXCELLENT—May have some spots, some loss of cover gloss, slight cover tear, corner bends, minor stain or dirt mark, slight/semi cover looseness, small spine tears or minor creases from being read. May have label removed showing only minor marks. No major cover flaws. VERY SUITABLE FOR FRAMING OR AUTOGRAPHING. EXCELLENT/MINT-- possible very minor spine wear or tear, possible minor wear on edges, slight corner creases, very minor dirt or stain mark. No significant major flaws, no rips or tears and the staples are not loose, a nice tight spine. May have label removed showing only minor marks. GREAT FOR FRAMING OR AUTOGRAPHING. NEAR MINT-- no damage, no noticeable significant flaws, just not quite Mint. May have label expertly removed with barely noticeable glue lines. May have a paper label. MINT-no damage, no noticeable significant flaws. May have a laser label. Only Newsstand or label issues can qualify for this grade. No Label issues can only grade as high as Near Mint as No Label means label has been expertly removed. If issue is a rare Newsstand - No Label, it will be stated in 3rd paragraph above.
