Here is a French fish plate or platter in a majolica glaze, by St Clement. It is a rectangular plate with rounded corners and a prominent fish design that is verry well molded and highly detailed. I think the fish looks like a grouper, with prominent fins and scales and very large eyes. The plate measures about 11 1/2" x 8 1/2". On the back, it has " St Clement France", and the number 1304 in an impressed or incised trademark and the printed number 2. It seems to be in excellent condition. No cracks or major scratches. I think it has only been a display piece. There may be a tiny spot or two where the glaze didn't cover at the time of manufacture, but that's about it. Shipping will be $6.50 to anywhere in the lower 48 states. Thanks.
