Saint Isidore was born in 556 in Cartagena, Spain. He became Archbishop of Seville and was recognized as a reformer, teacher and a most prolific writer. His writings included a dictionary, an enclyclopedia, history of the Goths and the history of the world, beginning with its' creation, closest to our today's database.
He was the most learned man of his time and Pope Benedict XIV proclaimed him "The Doctor of the Church" in 1722.
St. Isidore is the Saint for schoolchildren and students and it has been proposed to the Pope to add. computers, its' users and technicians, as well as the Internet to the ambit of St. Isidore.
