Now here's a fun Star Wars trading card set.
Lego Star Wars had been an extremely popular video game across several different gaming platforms. The game play involved advancing Lego versions of the Star Wars characters through the stories of Star Wars episodes I, II, and III (the newer trilogy).
So popular was this game that a second game was created - Lego Star Wars II. In this game, you advanced your Lego versions of the Star Wars characters through the stories of Star Wars episodes IV, V, and VI (the original trilogy). In this second game, you could even mix and match the heads and bodies of your characters for better skill combinations and fun.
In 2006, when this game was issued, cello packs of Lego Star Wars II trading cards were given out to purchasers of the game. The glossy cards were produced by Topps.
Now comes the misperceptions:
1 - The packs are plentiful.
NO - as with most premium issues, they seem plentiful at first but disappear fast. These were around for a couple of months last year, but good luck finding packs now.
2 - Each pack contains a complete set.
NO - each pack had a header card on top and bottom so you couldn't see the cards you were getting, and each pack only contained part of a set.
So, this set is made up of 15 numbered cards. It takes at least 2 packs if you're very lucky and often 3 to complete a set. Finally, not many were made based on how few are to be found today.
Like the game, the characters depicted on the cards are humorous combinations of heads and bodies of all the various Star Wars principles.
Offered here is a complete set of 15 cards and a header card.
Combined Shipping: Pay the highest shipping cost for the first item and pay only 50¢ shipping for each additional item.
Card Condition
- All cards are in Near Mint (NM) condition unless otherwise noted.
- I'm not selling investment vehicles here. I'm selling good cards and you're buying from a knowledgeable collector/dealer. I grade fairly and have no neeed to pay anyone to grade my cards.
- Any cards which were cut off boxes are in as nice a shape as possible given they were scissor cut, unless otherwise noted.
- Any set or group of cards which have typical factory flaws such as poor centering or imperfect registration will be noted.
- All scans are representative images from my own inventory unless stated that the picture is the exact item you are getting.
- Any set or group of cards which are not all of the same condition will be classified by a "drawing a line" description. I will state the condition of the cards, then tell you how many fall below that line. Typically those below that line will be described as cards possibly needing upgrading. For example - a set might be described at EX to NM needing 4 upgrades (u/g). In other words, 4 cards fall below the EX to NM "line".
- I will never describe a set's condition to be "EX on average", only for you to dissapointingly discover that this means that half the set is Mint (MT) and half the set is Good (GD).
- I have sold non-sport trading cards for over 15 years.
- I have written nearly 200 articles on collecting non-sports cards.
- I grade fairly. I do not use a microscope to look for flaws.
- With non-sports cards, sometimes they are so scarce that you first collect them in whatever condition you can find them in as long as they are priced accordingly.
- If there's a problem, and you are reasonable with me, then I'll do whatever it takes to make you happy.
International Buyers
- I will ship to countries outside of the United States.
- I will not declare the package to be worth less than it is and I will include an itemized receipt.
- The buyer is responsible for any customs charges.
- After purchase, eBay will automatically calculate your combined total.
- International packages are shipped USPS First Class Mail International.
- Allow at least one week for delivery, depending upon your country's customs and my ability to get to a Post Office.
- I typically do not physically go into the post office more than once a week.
- Packages sent via USPS First Class Mail International are shipped entirely at the customer's risk.
