Photographs can barely do justice to the timeless elegance of this Hand-Engraved Octagonal Locket Pendant in .925 sterling silver. (Click to enlarge the photos shown here.) Framed by a scalloped border, the raised central front side octagon bears an intricate hand-engraved pattern of sinuous swirls and subtle cross-hatchings. The same design elements are repeated on the back side. The V-shaped hanging loop is scalloped and daintily inscribed as well. This lovely locket really opens to hold a photo (or two) or other tiny memento, and it snaps tightly shut. Lockets are a delightful form of jewelry that has never gone out of style.

Quality and beauty of workmanship are evident from every angle of this exceptionally pretty locket necklace, which bears the hallmark 925 on the inner face of the locket. Its box chain measures approximately 20 inches long and is hallmarked 925 ITALY on a flat loop adjacent to the ring clasp. The locket itself measures approximately 7/8 inch high (excluding the hanging loop) by 5/8 inch wide by 3/16 inch thick. With the hanging loop, it measures approximately 1-1/4 inches high.
