This auction is for a starter plant of the new 2008 Dibley’s Streptocarpus “ALISSA”. An outstanding new color for Streptocarpus, “Alissa” has primrose yellow coloration on all five lobes, creating a breathtaking picture! The blossom stems are multi branching and very free flowering. In the right light conditions the plant can flower up to 10 months of the year. A fantastic addition to any collection of Streptocarpus and sure to become your favorite! About Streptocarpus: Streptocarpus are fibrous rooted plants related to African Violets and their growing requirements are the same. They are very easy to grow, great for windowsill growing, and are often mistaken for orchids! Leaves can be trimmed with scissors if they get too long. About Dibley’s: The famous Dibley’s Streptocarpus are very difficult to obtain in North America are all extremely heavy bloomers. Dibley's Nurseries, North Wales, Great Britain, are famous the world over as the leading hybridizer of Streptocarpus in the world, and holder of 15 Gold Medals at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show, winning Gold every year for the last 15 years! They have also won the Large Gold Medal award in every National and International Garden Festival held in Britain, and Gold and Large Gold Medals at every major Flower Show in the U.K.! Plant you are bidding on: The actual plant you are bidding on is the one in the white pot shown below. It’s a vigorous, healthy starter plant in a 3oz solo cup. Payment: Payment must be made within 7 days of end of auction and can be made by PayPal only.
Shipping Date: This will be shipped November 30th within the USA (avoiding the Thanksgiving holiday), and November 16th to the warmer areas within Canada. I ship every few weeks as I live in Canada and travel to the USA to ship by USPS. The plants are all inspected by our Department of Agriculture prior to shipping (at no cost to you). I will combine items up until the ship date to save you on shipping! This will be expertly wrapped and packaged very carefully and each box will be well insulated. In the unlikely event that your parcel is mishandled during shipping, and the contents arrive with major damage, I must be contacted immediately (within 3 business days). The occasional broken leaf can happen, but this is not major damage.
