Sulfamic acid is a white crystalline solid, non-volatile, with a density of 2.1. Decomposes at 205 degrees Celsius. Soluble in water. Aqueous solutions are highly ionized, giving a pH value lower than formic acid, phosphoric acid and oxalic acid. All common salts are extremely soluble in water. Uses include - metal and ceramic cleaning, gas-liberating compositions, organic synthesis, stabilizing agent for chlorine and hypochlorite in swimming pools, bleaching paper pulp and textiles, hard-water scale removal, and electroplating. Packaged in a wide mouth polyethylene jar. This material is shipped in compliance with USPS Publication 52 as an ORM-D.
