Wonderfully lithographed images of children counting, stacking and carrying bags of coins wrap around this charming Tin Coin Bank from the 1930's. Measuring 3 3/4 inches tall, it has a domed top and is in overall excellent condition. There are 4 individual slots for various size coins which descend and stack into round channels. The channels "count" the amount deposited and those funds can only be accessed by unlocking a device on the side which releases the underside sliding disc thus freeing the coins. Amazingly, the key is present along with a portion of the original cardboard hang tag and everything functions perfectly. The red, white, mustard and blue colors are crisp and vivid and the overall condition is exceptional with very minimal age-approprite wear (no rust, design loss or serious scratches). It is stamped "Made in U.S.A." with Pat. # 2,136,623 dating it to the year 1938. A beautifully preserved and unique addition to your collection.
