Superb ornate Victoria Piano Sconce candle holders 1870

A handsome pair of highly ornate Victorian era wall or Piano sconces. Those have a beautiful bronze plating or similar warm bronze like metal finish. Easily some of the nicest such holders I've seen and guaranteed original Victorian era fixtures ca 1860-1890. Traditionally mounted upon a piano in the days before electricity to illuminate the keyboards for ease of playing. Richly ornamented in a finely detailed- refined all over pattern. These make superb wall mounted fittings and look wonderful above a mantle- or in a hallway, bedroom etc. This set feature a double sconce to each bracket- so are essentially four holders in two! These can be spread apart to create a wonderful effect from the front- and would be especially well suited to wall mounting for this reason. Guaranteed original- ca1860-90 and one of the most ornate and decorative pairs I have seen. Condition is very fine as shown however the hinge pins that secure the brackets to the wall mounts are new replacements.
