This charming VINTAGE PAIR OF GLOVES, is made of supple, BROWN, 2 TONE, LEATHER. The inner ink stamps read, "G/2, 7 5 S" and, "FOWNES, 6 1/2" in a mark of many circles with the size inside. They are a lovely deep BROWN LEATHER, with DARKER BROWN LEATHER THUMB AND AT THE AREA BETWEEN EACH FINGER. The thumb is sewn on in a heart shape, with point at the bottom. Very unusual and stunning vintage gloves. These are the longer style, going several inches past the wrist and are wider at the opening than normal gloves, which could mean they are more of a "Western" style. There are 3 decorative seams at the top of each (top of palm area). They have seen used, but are still in EXCELLENT CONDITION! They measure approx. 10" long, from the second finger to the hem and are approx. 3" across the palm, at the thumb area. They are unlined and very supple, quality made leather pieces.
These are quite a stunning example, perfect for your collection, displays, or use and are perfectly reminiscent of the days when no "true" lady would leave home without her accessories....hat, matching shoes and purse, and of course, her favorite pair of gloves!
