The SX1115-RL provides guaranteed surge protection and power conditioning for audio, video and computer equipment. The units are 15-amp load-capable and have 8 standard grounded AC receptacles (6 switched, 2 always on).
SurgeX Advanced Series Mode surge suppression technology is superior to conventional MOV circuitry and MOV-hybrid designs. It has no let-through voltage, provides reliable protection, and stops multiple surges of up to 6,000 volts and unlimited surge current without producing ground contamination or common-mode disturbances.
The units also feature advanced Impedance Tolerant EMI/RFI filtering circuitry for additional power conditioning, and COUVS® catastrophic over/under-voltage shutdown circuitry to prevent damage from brownouts and line-fault events.
The SX1115-RL meets the most demanding government purchase specifications for branch circuit surge suppressors. Its A-1-1 rating means dependable protection from destructive spikes, surges and inductive transients.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The surge suppressor shall be a rack-mounted unit in a magnetic shielding steel enclosure. It shall operate from 120 volts AC and have a 9-foot, grounded, 3-wire #14 line cord. There shall be 8 three-prong AC receptacles on the back panel, with 6 switched and 2 always on. There shall be connectors and a dimmer for 2 Littlite gooseneck lamps on the front panel. Overall dimensions shall be 1.75" H x 19" W x 10.5" D. Weight shall be 11 pounds.
The surge suppressor shall have a load rating of 15 amps at 120 volts, a self-test circuit with visual indicator, and provide EMI/RFI filtering, Inrush Current Elimination and catastrophic over/under-voltage shutdown. It shall meet Federal Grade A, Class 1, Mode 1 guidelines for powerline surge suppressors and withstand at least 1000 occurrences of surge pulse voltages up to 6000 volts. The power-quality filter shall have 4 circuits: a series surge reactor that limits surge current, a cascaded auto-tracking dual-polarity capacitor bridge that limits pulse voltage, dual capacitor pulse discriminators, and a transient voltage cancellation transformer. The capacitor bridge shall clamp transients 2 volts above the power-wave peak voltage and a transformer winding shall cancel residual transient voltage at the output.
