Swamp Impedance transformer, 50k ohms to 600 ohms. Similar to a DI box, This device is used to match impedance between a mic level signal and a line level signal, or vice versa, maximising power transfer. Typically it would be used to plug a microphone into an low impedance device such as a guitar amplifier. you will find that if you attempt this without such a device, the output signal will be very low. There is also switch on the device to change the direction of the signal.
