Here is a pair of Swarovski 7x50 Habicht SL binoculars in unused condition in the box. Swarovski 7x50 SL deliver a very high image quality, probably the highest sharpness of absolutely any binoculars money can possibly buy, due to their large size, porro prisms and non pereil Swarovski optics. This is not a return for those of you who recal the listing a few week back. In fact, I discovered that the buyer was an older user and substituted a different more suitable binocular. Porro prisms are inherently superior optically. I placed the word "Swarobright" in the title because many people believe it is synonymous with the superior quality that they expect from this manufacturer. Swarobright is a kind of mirror silver painted on roof prism surfaces that are inclined at angles less than 45 degrees to the incoming light paths from the lenses. The silver serves simply to reflect light which would otherwise pass out of the prism. Swarovski Swarobrite is the best silver in the industry, and the SLC and EL series comprise some of the absolute best roof prism binoculars in the world. But porro prisms are better still. And I have directly A-B-ed this pair against all the other best 7x50 and 8x56 binoculars you were considering and found them superior in low light. In porro prisms, there is simply no need for silvers because of total internal reflection. All the surfaces are inclined precisely 45 degrees to the light path, and ALL, not some, of the light is reflected internally with no need of silvering whatsoever. Not only do they provide a sharper and brighter image, they enhance the perception of depth or 3D by effectively widening the distance between one's eyes, delivering slightly different views of the object to each eye. .The brain then weighs the difference of the far object with that of the near object to better determine relative distance. Indeed, the original Carl Zeiss patent for binoculars used the enhanced 3D effect as a key claim: which allowed the Germans to essentially steal the legal rights to binoculars from the Italians. The ultimate lowlight binoculars for the hunter as well as the naturalist. If you require a hardcase, let me know. I will order one and customize it to fit perfectly. If you need a high powered binocular to complement these, bid on my 18x50 Zeiss. A hard case can also be found to accomodate both pairs simultaneously for the ultimate outfit for all situations in all lighting conditions. *2 weeks money back no questions.
