"For-get-me-not" - Tangee's Classic Creations - French Victorian Beadwork. Gorgeous For-get-me-nots are hand made in the French Victorian meathod with tiny seed beads strung and woven on wire for a delicate life-like flower.  

New  Beads and New Findings. Completely hand assembled. Brooch measures 3 3/4 inches  (9.5 cm)  by 1 inches  (3.5cm) .

This gorgeous one-of-a-kind for-get-me-not brooch took several hours to complete. It has six beautiful blooms. The pain-staking French  Victorian meathod of beadwork involves stringing tiny 1 mm seed beads on wire to form the blossoms and leaves. The wire stems are wrapped in florest tap and then given a clear enamel finish. Each flower is gently shaped to perfection . The brooch has a safety clasp keeping it securely in place when worn. Deilcate and life-like, this jewelry comes from a tradition of jewelry making that dates back to France and England during the reign of Queen Victoria. The art is experiencing a revival today by various artist, myself included.
