Sweet Kestner JDK 211 Bent Limb Character Baby 1900s

Offered is an adorable Kestner Character Baby, circa 1910. This little baby has bent limbs and is about 15" in height. The back of her head is marked Made in Germany, H.  12  JDK  211. This baby has the original plaster pate intact, it is marked 211  8. Her bisque socket head has no chips, cracks, hairlines or touch-ups.  She has a wonderful molded face full of expression. She has brown feathered brows, brown glass sleep eyes with black painted lashes above and below, there are orange accents at her inner eyes and at her nostrils. She has an orange painted open mouth with two bottom teeth showing, you can see her upper gum, just like a real baby! There are accents on her upper and lower lips. She has chubby pink cheeks with rubs on each cheek and on the tip of her nose. Her brown mohair wig is in good condition, the netted cap has some small tears but still fine. Her body is in good shape with normal wear at the joints, her arms and legs also have wear as shown. She has two broken fingers on her right hand and rubs on the tips of her toes, both her fingers and toes have red defining lines.  She is wearing a white dotted swiss dress, there are mother of pearl buttons for closure, a long undershirt and button diapers, her red coat and hat fit her perfectly. She has white crocheted booties (one is missing a ribbon) and has her knitted duck toy around her neck. Her clothes are vintage and very well made, slight age soil on the coat with a pinhead hole is all.  She and her clothing are without odors and are in Very Good overall condition.
