Do you have wet leaking swivel housings. Guess what - they're not supposed to have oil in them so where is it coming from? I bet your axle seal is shot and the diff oil has washed the grease out of your CVs and wheel bearings. Not Good! It gets worse, that oil leaks all over your brakes and the missus spots the oil on the drive...

Also, if you have both wheels in the air, is the steering notchy? 99% of the driving is straight ahead and your swivel bearing cups wear in the one spot causing stiff and notchy steering.

This kit has all the quality parts you need to rebuild both sides of your front end swivel housings. Axle seals, swivel bearings and cups and all the seals for the stub axle and swivel housing. We use Terrain Tamer because they use the best quality bearings (Koyo or Timken) and seals.

Also available as optional upgrades from the4wdshop ... CV joints for GQ, hub nut sockets, hub nut kits per side, crown wheel and pinions (in 4.625 and 4.88 from) and diff bearing kits. Cool huh!

Here's a tip for the DIY mechanic at home (no torque wrench or figures) - don't over tighten your wheel bearings. This causes over heating, the grease thins down like water and runs out of the bearing and it will then seize - not good! Do the job with the wheel fitted but jacked off the ground and no weight on it. Tighten the bearings enough so that you just eliminate the side play. It would pay to check them again once they have worn in - say in a few hundred k's.

If you run large tyres (greater than 33") randomly jack up the front wheels and check for play as large tyres place a great deal of stress on bearings.

We use Australia Post's eParcel service. This is a registered mail service that requires you to sign for your goods and has an online tracking system so you can see if your items are close to being delivered or even waiting for you at the post office. The Auspost tracking website is : www.ausposttracking.com.au. You may ask us for your consignment number if you would like to track the progress of your goods.

If your items are too big for Aussie Post we will use a courier suited to your area. When suppliers send goods to you they all use couriers as well. A courier will need a street address (not a PO Box) and you will need to sign for the goods. We can't accept responsibility for goods stolen from your front door step and so they are instructed not to leave items unattended. On rare occasions you might incur a redelivery fee if the courier has to make repeated attempts to deliver your items or onsend to an alternate address. We too will send by courier if your goods can not be delivered by Australia Post.  In every case, you can track the progress of your goods whether they be with couriers or in the eParcel system.

The items we sell come not only come with a 12 month warranty but also a 7 day satisfaction guarantee that what you purchased is what you wanted. Some items we sell are discontinued clearance or liquidation stock from suppliers shutting shop. Understandably these cant be replaced once sold out but this will be made apparent in the item description if this applies.

A lot of people like to call us and make arrangements verbally over the phone and we can also take credit card details over the phone too. In fact that works for most people.
 
If you are an overseas customer then we can only accept PayPal  from you for your and our security - sorry - no exceptions. We get a lot of local and overseas customers using Pay pal and we find it to be very safe and fair.
