Mirror-Like reflector maximizes output for MAXIMUM PLANT GROWTH!The highly reflective lighting grade anodized polished aluminum reflector works just like a mirror to reflect every ounce of light from the bulbs. Locking Sockets hold the T5 lamps in tight so they will not fall out or become loose and cause the lamps to short out.

We manufacture the reflector from highly reflective mirror-like, lighting grade anodized polished aluminum - 95%+ reflective material. We even bend the ends over to provide a smooth edge that won't cut yourself if you bump into it. This folding over also provides superior strength. The top of the fixture has chrome hangers to hang fixture by. It also includes standard 120 volt- 3 prong plug in. This System Replaces a 400 watt Metal Halide at around HALF the electricity! This unit's four bulbs emit a powerful 20,000 lumens of bright light. A typical 400 watt Metal Halide lamp will lose about 50% of their initial lumens over their life. High Output T5 fluorescents maintain their initial light very well. So, over time, the T5 High Output Fluorescent fixtures output is still nearly 20,000 lumens but the 400 watt Metal halide lamp may only be producing 18,000 lumens by the end of it's 20,000 hour life expectency. T5 bulbs lifespan is rated at 24,000 hours and they only lose less than 10% of their initial lumen output over this time. One year is 8,760 hours. The BIGGEST difference is that our T5 fixture runs so cool, much cooler than a 400w Metal Halide (MH). This means you can place our T5 fixture very close to your plants. If you try that with a 400 watt MH your plants will experience damaging leaf burn. You can intensify light levels further because you can place this fixture closer to the plants without burning them. This is the KEY to High Output T5 FLUORESCENT GROW LIGHTS. You must place them very close to the tops of the plants (around 6") to obtain optimal results. The closer the light source is to the plants, the brighter - more intense the light will be that the plants receive. T5 fixtures have a very large area of which they emit light - over the entire 46" length of each of the 4 fluorescent light bulbs. This allows you to place the fixture very close to the tops of the plants and still have a very large area of intense, bright light coverage. Compare this to the 400 watt Metal Halide's very small arc tube of only about 2". You have to cover a large area with just a 2" arc tube emitting light, so you have to hang the 400w Metal Halide fixture high above the plants to spread the light out over the entire garden. As you know, the further away the light source, the less intense the light. So a 400w Metal Halide may emit 36,000 lumens but it has to be hung so far from the plants that you lose the intensity. BIG TIME ELECTRICITY $AVING$ The 4 Lamp High Output T5 fluorescent fixture uses only about 220 watts, you'll hardly even notice it on your power bill! Compare this to the over 400 watts that a 400w Metal Halide fixture uses and you'll see there is significant energy savings when using the T5 High Output Fluorescents.
