about "TANBA　YAKI”

Tachikui is one of SIX OLD POTTERY AREA(六古窯）They are Setoyaki,Tokonameyaki,Echizenyaki,Tanbayaki and Bizenyaki.
Tachikuiyaki has 1000 years history.
Grazed pottery's heated in 1300℃ for 50 to 70 hours in a kiln with stepped chambers called "Noborigama"( a kiln built in several connected sections on a hillside, with the opening for kindling the fire in the lowest section and the chimney at the top)
So,Ashes felt on them make the original design and colors!
