TAPCIS was a program to automate interactions with CompuServe, because CI$ charged by the minute and it was advantageous to work offline. The program was originally written by Howard Benner, and based on a program he'd written for the Model 100 Special Interest Group, but he moved it to MS-DOS soon after publishing the M100 version. By 1992 Benner had passed away, and the program was maintained in what's now called an Open Source manner and offered as Shareware. This is the user guide. Obviously it's obsolete, and I no longer have the floppy, so I'm looking for someone with a historical interest in the program. Book is in excellent condition. |
