TAYLOR 2004 MODEL 314-CE-L7 - TASMANIAN BLACKWOOD - HSC

This guitar is a 2004 Taylor 314-CE-L7, grand auditorium size guitar.

There are no structural repairs and no wood cracks.  There is zero finish wear around the sound hole.  There is a minor amount of surface wear on top for 5 years of use. The back and sides are perfect.  I would rate the overall finish condition as very good to excellent for a 2004 build that has actually been used.  There are a few pin sized indentations on the top and one small ding (1/16" x 1/8") on the bass side of the lower bout (shown in last photograph).  Fret wear is very light.  The top is a gloss finished select spruce and the body is a satin finished, higly flamed Tasmanian Blackwood.  The actual flame effect varies at different angles and light and is hard to photograph.  This wood grain has a very 3-dimensional depth in appearance in the correct light.

This model has the Taylor Expression System electronics which are also in good working order. This ES model uses two AA batteries in an insert at the end pin area.

The action has been professionally set up and is low (plays extremely easy) with no buzzing under normal play action.  It has been strung with light gauge strings since I’ve owned it.  The neck is straight and the original satin finish is perfect with no visible wear or indentions.  It sounds great and has the bright Taylor sound you would expect, plus a bounus of stronger bass from the Tasmanian Blackwood.  The fitted Taylor hard shell case is also in very good condition with only a few surface marks and all latches work perfectly.  The lining is plush black and shows no wear.  Please note the case in the pictures is not the case that will be included.
