TELECHRON SMUG ELECTRIC CLOCK BY BELLE KOGAN WORKS

ITEM: Telechron "SMUG" electric clock designed by Belle Kogan.
DESCRIPTION: Bird shaped electric table clock model number 8F01 produced by Telechron between 1934 and 1939. The case is plastic with a yellow body, orange beak and white and black eyes. The cream white dial has indigo blue characters and the bezel is brass with hands in dark orange. It measures about 5 3/4" tall.
MARKS: The dial is marked "Telechron" and "Warren Telechron Co. Ashland Mass. U.S.A.". The back is extensively marked in raised lettering with the company name, model number and more.
CONDITION: It is in working order and keeps accurate time. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or other damage to the case, dial or glass. The cord insulation is split where it enters the clock. There is a little bit of white on the black part of the eye that is either wear or some kind of build-up.
