The Andy Griffith Show will always be remembered as one of the greatest "Slice of Life" series to ever appear on television. It represented the ideal small town, full of ordinary citizens, as well as the crazies that inhabited it, especially characters like Enerst T. Bass and The Darlings. The one thing that was truly remarkable was the relationship between Andy and the hyperactive Barney Fife. It was Barney, as well as the characters of Aunt Bea, Floyd, Otis, Goober, and later Howard and Emmit that made the show the classic it was.
