I could watch Astaire dance all day but could never handle his smug personality, he's incredibly annoying. Rogers looks great in this movie and her battle with her understudy is hilarious. Strange movie that has no story but is just a collection of dance routines, bizarre classical interludes courtesy of Mr Levant, and the famous screen couple fighting and being immature. Hightlight involved Astaire watching a pair of dancing shoes before putting these shoes on his feet. The great Billie Burke from The Wizard Of Oz is the funny socialite.
