Up for auction is a FANTASTIC vintage BAKELITE (Catalin), Lucite and Wood PIN / Brooch - fresh to the market from a recent acquisition .. MEXICAN 'South of the Border' theme .. a sleeping MAN wearing a Sombrero and Serape sits on the back of a Burro / DONKEY .. the MAN is made of Butterscotch BAKELITE with hand painted Green, Red, Yellow, Black and Blue accenting - his HAT is Wooden with Yellow, Red and Green STRIPE detailing - the DONKEY is made of Clear LUCITE with Red and Black reverse painting (White/Black Eye with Black Mane surface painted) .. see all the photos .. a HARDER TO FIND Carved Mixed Material PIN .. Overall in EXCELLENT condition - no breaks or chips - very little wear to the hand painted accenting - secure closure with some slight tarnishing to the metal - deeply carved - bright colors - appears slightly if ever worn .. TERRIFIC condition - WONDERFUL appearance - a SWEET piece! .. measures  2 3/8" high x 2 1/2" across .. guaranteed OLD and ORIGINAL.
